It is the realm of surfers and is only a 10 minute drive from Palau! An isthmus of sand separates the mainland from a small peninsula called Isuledda. The water is crystal clear and the beaches are perfect for relaxing, having fun and doing water sports. In fact, there are numerous windsurfing, kitesurfing, wing and sup schools where you can rent equipment or learn these wonderful sports. You can also find several kiosks where to eat, listen to good music and rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

A metà strada tra Palau e Santa Teresa Gallura, nei pressi della foce del Liscia, Porto Pollo (in gallurese Portu Puddu) unisce la terraferma alla bellissima isola dei Gabbiani (o Isuledda) con una sottile lingua sabbiosa. Le due ‘spiagge-istmo’ - la seconda è detta dell’Arenaria - si aprono a ventaglio con dune coperte di lavanda, lentisco e ginepro e sono una palestra naturale per gli sport acquatici. La località è costantemente battuta dal vento, a tratti forte, perciò è una meta particolarmente ambita di velisti e appassionati di windsurf e kite surf. Da una parte o dall’altra della baia, ci saranno, alternativamente, condizioni ideali per surfare oppure di mare piatto. Per chi ha il windsurf nell’anima, vento fra i capelli, vela spiegata e scia sulle onde saranno la costante della vacanza.
