The official house of the governor of Puerto Rico, it was initially slated to be the first fortification for the city. Given its location too far into the bay that plan was quickly abandoned. Don’t miss the opportunity to book a tour of it ahead of arriving to San Juan. Even locals don’t know this UNESCO World Heritage Site is open for visits.
