Beautiful lookout spot to see the views over Copa / Macs. There is also a whale watching platform to spot Humpback whales from late May and early August, when they migrate to the warmer waters of the Central Coast region off the Three Points. The whales often come quite close to the coastline due to the northerly currents at this time of year.

Drive over the hill to Copa and up to Captain Cook lookout for breath taking views over the ocean. During whale watching season this is a go to to spot the majestic creatures cruising along the coast but anytime of year is a breathtaking look from this lovely spot.

Captain Cook Lookout is located in Copacabana and is one of the best on the coast with excellent views south, and north beyond Avoca Beach. It can be accessed by following the beachfront road up to the steep headland known as First Point.
