Typhlology Museum -Draškovićeva 80/II -The Typhlological Museum opened in 1953 in Zagreb and is one of the rare special museums in Europe engaged in dealing with the issue of people with disabilities, especially those with visual impairment. -The Museum holds objects connected to education, rehabilitation, everyday life and artistic expression by blind and partially sighted persons which are divided into five collections: Collection of Objects, Collection of Photographs, Ophthalmological Collection, Collection of Archival Material and Art Collection. The Museum also houses a specialized library.

Typhlological Museum is a special museum , and its name comes from the Greek words typhlos ( blind ) and logos ( saying , speech , thought , reason ) . This is a public state institution that collects , preserves , researches, documents and communicates tangible and intangible materials related to people with disabilities , with an emphasis on persons with impaired vision . Its action seeks to introduce the community to the world of the visually impaired and thus encourage harmonious and tolerant relations between people , taking into account the individuality of each person. The museum is a place where people with disabilities can actively involved in its operation , but at the same time allows the community to get to know the life of disabled people . Typhlological Museum opened in 1953 , in Zagreb , in Bosanska Street 36 , and in 1959 , he moved to a new building in Draškovićeva 80. where it operates today .
