The beach! Probably cold and foggy. Dress warm. Nice reprieve from the summer heat. Surf shop in Bodega Bay.

You can go to either side of the creek, north or south. Sometimes a sandbar closes off the creek and you can walk across it. South has a nice, long beach walk. Beware of "sleeper waves" and do not wade into coves because you can get trapped.

Great free access to a sandy beach, big dunes, slide on a piece of cardboard, watch the surfers from the cliffs above.
