The square plays host to a diverse range of events and activities in the heart of the city. Traversed by the tram, it's easy to access and with cafes and the Adelaide Central Market nearby, there's always plenty to see and do.
This tram will take you either North through the city past Rundle Mall and the Train Station to the Entertainment Centre or South all the way to the Beach at Glenelg. That's pretty-much Adelaide's biggest beachside suburb, highly recommend going there for the summer months Dec-March. Last tram leaves Glenelg at 12am though!
The central square is Victoria Square (Aboriginal name is Tardanyangga). Recently redesigned to be able to host major events and concerts. Worth a stroll around (designed by friends of ours!)
The central square of five public squares in the Adelaide city centre, South Australia.
This square is really the centre of Adelaide. It is near our iconic Town Hall and original General Post Office. The Tour Down Under has its headquarters during the January race on the Victoria Square garden area. There are often festivals set up here. It is also a lovely place to sit for a picnic in the middle of Adelaide too.
