beautiful little hike along the Shenandoah River about a mile from the dome. Also has a boat launch

Has several easy walking trails. The flat, mile long, "river trail" starts to the left of the public stream access at the end of the parking area. Roundtrip is 2 miles. The trail travels along the river and through some woods and fields. Good hike for bird watchers. Fishing permitted along Shenandoah River. 2.5 mile (7 minute) drive from house.
