A lovely place to learn a bit of local history and imagine yourself back in time. A trip to the Hermitage is also well worth a visit.

A lovely little town with some nice cafes, a castle, and Mowick ice cream and Amble (a short drive from Warkworth)

The castle is great to visit and often has outside theatre in the summer, but my favourite thing is the Hemitage. A lovely riverwalk meanders through Warkworth towards the jetty, were you can pick up a rowing boat to take you the short journey across the river to the steps of the Hermitage. Steeped in history the Hermitage is impressive, calming and well worth the short trip.
