This museum is the home of one of Norways most famous painters, Nicolai Astrup. It also is a way of learn about life in the Norwegian countryside in the early 20th century. The museum also has a beautiful garden. We recomend paying for a guided trip. They provide guiding tours in english, german and norwegian.

The artist home of Norway's second most known artist after Munch: Nikolai Astrup. You can get a guided tour through his old wooden houses, stroll on the terraces of his garden-farm and experience his art in the gallery. There is also a small café and book shop. Only 20 minutes walk from our farm.

Flott og idyllisk kunstnerhjem, for Nikolai Astrup og hans kone Engel. Nasjonalromantisk maler, mest kjent for sine bilder av Santhans Bål. Min mor vokste opp i det gule nabohuset, og min bestemor vevde ruteåkler for salg, og til slekten. 😊
