The unique sub marine experience was one of the main reasons for Bill & Melissa Gates to visit the island. Planet Earth is mostly covered by water, most of which is completely unexplored. Few people have ever seen first hand what is below the Ocean surface. 12 men have walked on the moon, yet only three have seen the absolute deepest place in the Ocean right here on earth. Divers can go to around 130ft and see the shallowest spots in this increadable and beautiful world, but this is a chance to see what very, very few people have ever seen.......life in the world below where no diver or even sunlight can reach. It feels as though you've left the earth and at this point you are exploring another world so intense that man cannot exsist outside the protection of this increadable little sub. Guided by a very professional team that oversees the whole adventure from divers, Techs, boat captains, sub pilots and suport staff with an immense amount of knowledge of this undersea world and the hearts to help protect the life and creatures that live in this vastly unexplored world. The price is around $ 800,- per person but that only sounds expensive to people who never had this experience. Adriaan 'Dutch' Schrier is the founder, developer and co-owner of the Curacao Sea Aquarium. He opened the aquarium in 1984 together with his partner, Rudy Pizziolo. He was also the driving force behind the opening of the Dolphin Academy, the Dolphin Therapy Center and the Dolphin Suites Hotel and the Substation Curacao.
