Macclesfield Canal - A lovely canal walk with a cafe and other amenities on hand, located some 1.1 miles/ 24 minutes’ walk away. If using Google Maps, setting the destination as ‘Nelson’s Pit’ should help.

Wonderful walks in either direction! If you wanted to do some shopping there’s a retail park about 45 mins walk away if you head south but for scenery I’d recommend heading north towards Bollington. You will see historic mills and an imposing viaduct
