This bridge is the longest footbridge in the Southern Hemisphere at 395 meters in length. It was originally constructed in 1947 to link Whananaki South to Whananaki North. If you continue walking the road called Te Ara O Tunua Rd this will take you to Whananaki South beach.

A really cool footbridge joining Whananaki North and South. Drive down to Whananaki North through Jubilee Road and park down at the shops. Grab an ice cream or fish and chips and head down to the footbridge walk across the estuary.
