Excellent, fresh sushi for a more upscale night out. It’s a little out of the way, but the food is incredibly good. Get the Fire Salmon if you go!

Although the stellar Austin restaurant scene was kicked into gear two decades ago by Uchi, just across Lamar Blvd now lives another, arguably even more exceptional Japanese restaurant. While Uchi and its sister restaurant, Uchiko, certainly deserve a strong recommendation, Soto is our favorite for a special occasion.
