Clonbur or An Fhairche sits between Lough Corrib and Lough Mask, it is just north of the the well known village of Cong. For walkers, the Conbur Wood Loop Trail is worth checking out, also Seanbothereen is another walk linking Clonbur with Cornamona. The whole area is very beautiful and is worth a visit

Clonbur woods were lands which were formally part of the Ashford Castle Estate which were owned by the Guinness family until 1939. The existing forest roads provide a very pleasant walk through Clonbur Wood. Traversing mixed woodlands, with both native and exotic species, it skirts along the south edge of Lough Mask providing a panoramic view of the lake and its islands. There are a number of trails and starting points around the village, which I can advise you on when you visit.

Clonbur, County Galway (Gooogle Map plus code: GJWQ+7F) - 18 mins drive This is gorgeous area with a super kids playground. There are a number of walks through the woods for all levels of ability. Definitely should bring a picnic when visiting here A Parkrun takes place here every Saturday and is very well attended.
