Located underneath the Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill, this restaurant serves really good modern Caribbean food. A great little spot for cocktails (with rums from all over the Caribbean) and a guaranteed good night of dancing on Friday and Saturday, when it’s open until 2:30 am. Perfect for a fun date but also great to hit with a bunch of mates. The Rude Boy and the Ting Wray are my go-to cocktails. You can get rum cocktails for £5 during happy hour, from 5 to 7 pm.

Colourful wooden wall-slats and furniture fill the upstairs bar, and down in the party-time basement there’s good reggae, very friendly staff and rum, rum and more rum. The selection is enormous, and you could spend weeks here without getting through it all. On the cocktail front, there are plenty of big fruity numbers, but the classicism of a perfect daiquiri makes us think this is the way to go. There’s a happy hour from 6pm to 8pm too. If you stay later, you’ll probably find yourself unable to resist the lure of jerk chicken, saltfish fritters or just an enormous bowl of sweet potato fries.

Good brunch, lunch and dinner, also Friday/Sat nights there is a DJ downstairs with mostly R&B tunes, good for a dance, good cocktails (try my personal favourite: grog).
