There are a few parks in the area. the cafee and small animal farm at Longford park, the wild Chorlton meadows, the picturesque Chorlton Water Park. I have chosen Alexandra Park as it rather flat and big and has a lake and is good for cycling or jogging for all. It has a lake with ducks and swans and a small child play area and a great Caribbean festival once a year( rather loud though)

This park was refurbished to it's former Victorian stature just a couple of years ago and is a great park for picnics, sports has a lovely pavilion cafe open every day of the week big open spaces, a running course, tennis and a big pond with swans, geese and other aquatic birds.

Why go here? Well, its right next door of course!!! And it's beautiful too! And with a cafe serving great coffee, cake and tasty ice creams at the centre of the park, what more could you want!?
