If you have little kids who want to fish, you have to spend a day here! The Kootenay Trout Hatchery has the cutest little fishing pond to practice with the littles - of course its all catch and release but the photos are priceless! And you can also feed the giant trout that swim in the mote and schedule a guided tour of the amazing hatchery! I'm an elementary school teacher, and this is a yearly field trip with the kids! So fun! And don't forget to bring a picnic - there's lots of shady green grass and picnic tables.
