O Miradouro dos Balcões é um paraíso para os amantes da observação de aves na Madeira (ou birdwatching) e chegar lá não custa absolutamente nada. Aves como o bis-bis, o tentilhão, o melro-preto, a lavadeira, a manta, o papinho ou até o raríssimo pombo-trocaz. A Levada dos Balcões é uma das levadas mais fácil de toda a Ilha da Madeira (Floresta Laurissilva).
