Local butcher (and family friend) selling award winning sausages. James is found at the top of Driving Lane (road by the duck pond) at his factory site. He runs a small shop from the car park (cash only) or you can visit him in the main office where you can pay by card. Locally sourced meats, some of his own beef from his herd of Ruby Red Dexters. Much cheaper than the butcher in the village. Call him on 01726 814926 and you can place an order over the phone and then go and collect. Karen runs the office during the week, if you call and say that you are staying at the Karen Barnett's in the village and you've been recommended he'll be most helpful I'm sure!

James Kittow runs a fantastic local fresh meat business diagonally opposite across the lane. This means you count food meters' rather than food miles. He has won countless awards. For breakfast try the Pen'n'tinny Porker sausages, chippolatas or the Kittow Cornish Flatties, all favourites with our family. For BBQ try lamb rump or one of the amazing steaks. The burgers are the best around and if you are brave ask for the chilli variety. If you know what you are after it will be cut to your specification or if not they are more than willing to offer advice and ideas. (ask James about an 'Under Roast' if you want to prepare a Cornish roast brisket). A must visit if you are meat eaters!
