Head up to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort during the summer to visit Boo our resident Grizzly Bear. Boo was orphaned and in need of help after an unfortunate incident and he now lives in a 5 acre enclosure on the slopes of our ski hill. Boo is a beautiful bear and the local guides will tell you all about Boo's history, present life and future; Boo is well loved, well looked after and doing very well!

Go and meet Boo the grizzly bear! He was rescued as a cub and had this huge enclosure built for him to spend the remainder of his life. Great place to learn lots about grizzlies and the refuge at Kicking Horse Mountain!

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is home to the world’s largest enclosed and protected grizzly bear habitat. This Grizzly Bear Refuge is where resident orphaned grizzly bear Boo lives and plays. Visitors are given the opportunity, as part of a one-of-a-kind interpretive tour, to view a grizzly bear interacting much as they do in the wild; foraging, hunting, playing, swimming, snoozing and exploring. Held multiple times a day throughout the summer season, these tours are educational and interactive, allowing guests a unique opportunity to view this incredible animal and learn about the plight of this blue listed species.

At the base of the Kicking Horse Ski Lift get information and view the Grizzly Bear. Take the lift to the top and enjoy an awesome view while enjoying a meal in the Eagles Nest Restaurant.
