For rail-to-trail cyclists or walkers! The closest access to Fernwalk is at Harnedsville, only 6 miles down the road at the Casselman River. We love riding the GAP Trail up river, crossing numerous bridges and going through the Pinkerton Tunnel. If you are fit, you might be able to make it to Rockwood for lunch, or even further... the Meyersdale viaduct. Coming back is a gentle downhill grade, so it helps for the return. You can also leave from Confluence and when you get back, have lunch or dinner and a beer at the Lucky Dog Cafe or a more elegant ending at the River's Edge Cafe.
