inside of Fort Mahakan, is a 200 year old community of Thai artisans and shop owners. Beautiful teak wood houses and a tranquil atmosphere make you feel far from BKK. As of this writing (June 2016) the neighborhood is threatened to be demolished by the city. A must see before another piece of history and soul of this city is lost to development!
