Pho is only as good as its broth and I think. Pho Tau Bay has some of the best broth in the city. Recently reopened in the city after a long hiatus post Katrina, they have an extensive selection of Pho and other Vietnamese food items. Not expensive, quick to eat, friendly staff, nice enviroment, funky location near the new medical center district.

Pho Tau Bay is a fantastic lunch destination if you find yourself in the downtown New Orleans area. A favorite with locals during their lunch breaks, it's a reliable spot when you're craving Vietnamese eats (pho, banh mi, etc).

New Orleans has a great Pho Scene with 3-4 hot spots, this is one of them.

It's a bit of a hike across the river to find this place but it's a gem of Vietnamese cuisine. I've never had anything that wasn't stellar here and I've been coming for the past 10 years.
