Great collection of paintings and sculpture which is free to visit. It is a 20 minute walk west along the river Thames from Westminster Abbey. Or take the tube to Pimlico. Or take the river bus.

Visiting the Tate is the cause for an excellent day to gaze at work by William Blake and Francis Bacon. (Don't get this one confused with the Tate Modern, a different museum) :)
