The construction date of the Galata Tower, which was known as the Tower of Christ in the past, is not known exactly. However, among the estimates made regarding the construction date of the Galata Tower, the 500s AD are the most cited. This tower, which is the most important and oldest monument in the historical Galata District; It has been used throughout history by the Romans, Venetians, Genoese and Ottomans. Geçmiş dönemlerde İsa Kulesi olarak adlandırıldığı bilinen Galata Kulesi'nin yapım tarihi tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Ancak Galata Kulesi'nin yapım tarihi ile ilgili yapılan tahminler arasında en çok MS 500'lü yıllar işaret edilir. Tarihi Galata Bölgesi'nde yer alan en önemli ve en eski eser olan bu kule; Romalılar, Venedikliler, Cenevizliler ve Osmanlılar tarafından tarih boyunca kullanılmıştır.
