This pub is the pub in the Book by Phillip Pullman the Belle Sauvage. The pub is located on the other side of Oxford next to a river. They have peacocks wandering around there.

Lovely country pub with good food and lovely garden

Made famous by the Inspector Morse series, this Inn is beautifully located in Wolvercote by the river Thames , so perfect for a drink and a bite to eat before or after a walk along the Thames riverbank.

15 minute drive or 50 minute walk along the River. Traditional pub with superb location on next to the river. Reasonable food. Very slow service in summer.
