...this is one of the top rated beaches in the world in Saugatuck Michigan and one of my favorite...it also offers great hiking in the sand dunes or a long walk to the channel...has a great concession stand and about 20 spots to pull up and park on the Water's Edge for a picnic with picnic tables and grills available free for your use... easier to get into than the Holland or Grand Haven State Park beaches!

$10 vehicle entrance fee (46 miles) Named one of the best beaches in the mid-west, Oval Beach is another nice spot in Saugatuck. There is a large parking lot that is close to the beach. On the opposite side of the parking lot, there are dunes to climb and some hiking. They have public restrooms/changing rooms and some concessions.

You just cannot beat summertime on Lake Michigan. The Oval Beach offers stunning views of Lake Michigan with miles of beach for sunning, swimming and walking. Restrooms and concessions. If you're feeling adventurous, climb the steps up Mt. Baldhead (located behind the beach) and enjoy the splendor of Michigan dunes.

Oval Beach is a wonderful spot to watch a sunset, or take a stroll on the beach. It's the easiest beach to get to, quick easy to park access to the sand and water.
