A trip through the Black Isle to Cromarty is an excellent day out with a lot to see. Stop off in Avoch to see the Old Fisher Town and Fortrose to see the Cathedral and the Dolphins.

I love the whole of the Black Isle, and I always make my way here for walks, to look at antiques, go to the monthly farmer's market, cross over to Nigg, and on to Portmahomack, I could go on and on about the many goods reasons to visit Cromarty and the rest of the peninsula. It's magical!

A local hero, Hugh Miller was Darwins' contemporary who struggled with the meaning of life. A must see for history and archaeology buffs!
