A great short walk from our front door that has you at the top of a hill looking over the auckland harbour towards Devonport, Rangitoto Island and towards the central city district. Well worth the walk both during the day or early evening to watch the sun set. Google this historic site and learn it's significance in New Zealand's history

This is my favorite spot in Auckland, I always go there when I want to watch the sunset with the city in the background. Can easily be reached by bus. This park is right of missing Bay beach, so you can spend the day by the beach then come here for a great sunset. Bring warm clothes because Auckland gets quite windy and cold ;P
