Malatapay Market Wednesdays at Malatapay Market are always abuzz with activity. It is a place where livestock growers, local farmers and fishermen converge to sell their fresh produce. Aside from that there are also other vendors who display an array of merchandise such as plastic wares, household items, garments, slippers, sometimes even cheap children’s toys. It is a whole day fair for the townspeople, shoppers and visitors. Folks from the neighboring towns also take part in the tabo, a local term which means market day.

This market is only on Wednesdays in Zamboangita, a small town where the boats to Apo Island take off. It is a place where local farmers and fishermen offers fresh fruits or seafood. It’s also a livestock market, where carabaos (water buffalos) , cows, pigs and other animals are sold. But also any other kind of local products can be purchased at this place.

Every Wednesday this place becomes the islands biggest market on the island. All fruits and vegetables are organic, the fish is super fresh. Try the locally made "Bibingka and Budbud".
