A mere 2kms from Nature’s Nook you will find The Malachite Kingfisher #Bird Hide. This is one of the two permanent bird watching hides located in the area and is situated on the northern shore of the #Bo-Langvlei #Lake. Numerous birds that have been viewed at the #hide including: African Fish Eagle, AfricanSpoonbill, Black and Rufous-chested (Red-breasted) Sparrow hawk, Brown Hooded Kingfisher, Cape Shoveler, Crowned Eagle, Little Egret, Malachite Kingfisher, Red-knobbed Coot, Pied Kingfisher, Red-billed Southern Pochard, White-backed Duck and White-breasted Cormorant to name but a few.

An hour in this little used Sanparks birdhide guarantees sightings of a range of waterbirds. Excellent for photographers and a peaceful sundowner.
