The Back Porch is unbelievably creative, charming, & beautiful. Allow a couple of hours for yourself & lady friends to take in this fantasy wonderland. Food was excellent, gift shops - a shoppers dream. Waitress found & kept in 'safe' keeping my pocketbook which was left under our cafe table. Upon our return, money, ID, cards were all there. Gave that HONEST waitress & Back Porch Mgr 5 GOLD stars. Truly Lakeland's best kept SECRET. A MUST SEE!

This is a bit of a drive, but in addition to the restaurant they also have The Stable (home decor), The Seasons (Christmas year-round), The Back Yard (garden shop), and The Barn (antiques, open seasonally). It’s a great place to stop for lunch. Be sure to ask one of the people at the register how ordering works.
