This garden cafe and shop in central Nairobi began in 1996 with four refugee women who were sewing and selling placemats; it has since blossomed and now employs marginalised women from across Africa. They carry a range of jewellery, bags, and accessories in the shop. These are made with printed fabrics that are handmade on-site and are really stylish. The garden cafe, open during the day for lunch, or for a coffee or tea, is lovely and shady and has a kids’ play area.
