"Oriental Food" versus typical Chinese, Japanese, Thai or other Asian food, so you may not see your favorites immediately on the menu. The food is ok, but the atmosphere is not bad for a place to go out in town.

This is not your average, traditional Japanese restaurant. This is how a brilliant entrepreneur adapted to the taste preferences of a primarily French-Canadian community. She then passed her brilliance on to her daughter who has kept the Yokohama thriving and consistent. The food is unique and delicious. Recipes are tightly-held secrets but if you give a good Retreat review I may share the secret-ingredient in the fried rice which is a must-try. Local favorites also include kushi (chicken, onion, and green pepper on stick fried in panko)and don't forget to have a mai-tai (designated driver highly recommended after one of these gems). Cheers!
