100-130 years ago this fortres should keep Copenhagen safe with big canons, from attack ships arriving from south. 300 danish soldiers were here ready for war, during World War I. The Germans used it during World War II to traine their soldiers and shoot resistance agents and others. Now it is a park with a great view, a place for families to enjoy their picnic by the tables - or to visit the restaurant.

Kastrup fort is part of the old fortification complex surrounding Copenhagen. Today it hosts a restaurant, several playgrounds and a number of walking paths.

If it is too windy at the beach, this is a nice to go. You´ll also find a good playground for kids.
