NOTE-THIS IS NOT WHERE THE AIRBNB MAP PUTS IT. Trailhead is just past the Mt. Rose Hwy Scenic Overlook, on the right. Awesome hike with spectacular views, varied landscaping, little elevation gain, and kid friendly trail. Also, remnants of the flumes of the late 1800s still around the trail. Great history for kids. Look up on Trails.com and/or Tahoe Weekly.

Want to rent a bike and explore the trails? this is your spot. They offer bike rentals and shuttle services to get you to the most popular trail heads. What's great is that many of the trails connect up to Tunnel Creek Rd, which terminates right behind the shop, so when your ride is over, you don't have to pedal all the way back to the shop. This place can get busy during the summer months, so call ahead to make sure they can accomodate you.

Great place to rent bikes- can either take the mountain bikes up the Monkey Rock Trailhead or ride them down the East Shore Bike Path
