Honolulu Museum on Beretania Street has a small but nice art collection. The Contemporary Museum on Makiki Heights Drive has a small collection. The gardens and the cafe at the Contemporary Museum are worth the trip.

A private residence-turned-museum, the grounds are vast and beautiful, offering striking views of Honolulu. Nice and cool. Also has a great cafe.

“Fendu Boulangerie, is a wonderful place to get bread along with a variety of sweeter pastries like croissants, cookies, muffins, and sweet cake breads and dessert. Their chocolate croissants are wonderful. Although there is not a lot of chocolate, they use Valrona's chocolate, which is wonderful. It is located in Manoa Marketplace in Honolulu and is about 50-60min away. www.bakerieshonolulu.com”

“Paesano's is our favorite Italian restaurant. We go here for special occasions. The price is "reasonable" and the food is very good. Since Brian is Italian, this is high praise. They are open for lunch and dinner during the week and dinner on weekends. Reservations for dinner is a good idea. Parking is available in the Manoa Marketplace where Paesano's is located. ”
