This is a nice hike from Sognsvann. Either follow a road on take the forest trail which I recommend. Follow the blue paint marks on the trees and sign to Ullevålseter. It's about 5km one way.

Hiking up here from Sagene takes you into the Nordmarka wilderness region (1.5 hours' walk). On most weekends the Ullevålseter lodge sells hot drinks and pastries. Beautiful nature.

They also serve full meals, and you can eat it in this charming place by the fireplace and enjoy all the old things on the walls and the nice view.
