On any given morning, you’ll find all the cool Eastside kids lining up here with their parents for some of the best croissants and pastries in the city. Proof has a French bakery vibe, with marble and wood—and it’s tiny. But we take our pastries (and really good coffee) to go and wander around Atwater Village, Silver Lake, or Los Feliz. There’s always a line, even right when it opens at 8. Life with children is all about avoiding lines, but this one goes pretty fast, usually just 5 to 7 minutes if you come before right when it opens.

Amazing pastries and cakes. On weekends they make incredible sandwiches if you make it before they sell out.

These folks are real pastry chefs and they don't mess around. The coffee is yummy and the line is down the block. But if you're haunting the Atwater Village, this is a must stop.
