“Great take-in option. Pauline & Sharon's is not your typical pizza spot. They offer some interesting/unusual pies (brie & onion pie; smoked duck pie), as well as more traditional options. They use high-quality ingredients. You'll either love it or hate it. Very limited seating. Good for pick-up or delivery. Open late. ”

Grocery or Supermarket
“Hidden in the back of this unassuming grocery store is a tiny taqueria that is the only place in New York I can stand to order Mexican food after being spoiled by living in CA. A secret gem.”

“Amazing brunch food that is reasonably priced. Bottomless mimosas which is always a huge selling point for me. Brunch is over a 4:00pm so the best time to get there is around noon. There is a bit of a wait so keep that in mind but the food is always worth it.”

Burger Restoranı
“The main attraction at this Eastern European restaurant in South Slope is the deep fried original burger: a juicy patty plus funky Allgauer Emmentaller cheese, mustard, and a seasonal pickled veggie gets swaddled in dough. The whole thing is dunked in the fryer, accompanied by steak-cut fries or salad. (Dip into sweet beet ketchup, too.) The burger is certainly a filling solo act, but for a gut-busting experience, add on a half order of Halusky, hand-cut potato noodles with Bryndza cheese and bacon morsels. The whole menu goes heavy on meat and potato variations, like Hungarian beef goulash, apple-raisin latkes, and turnip and squash-stuffed pierogis. It also offers an extensive range of ciders and beers.”
