Nathan Phillips is an urban plaza that forms the forecourt to Toronto City Hall. The square is the site of concerts, art displays, a weekly farmers' market, the winter festival of lights, and other public events, including demonstrations.

You can't come to Toronto and not get a picture with the Toronto sign. The sign lights up at night and can be a nice spot to hang out with some take out food. Old city hall and new city hall are in the same vicinity.
