Find The Best View In Colombia Towering above the rolling foothills of Guatape lies the soaring monument of La Piedra del Peñol also known as “The Big Rock.” Coined by many Colombian locals as the “The Best View In The World” it’s not hard to see how La Piedra del Peñol gained its fame. At its highest point on the south side of “The Rock”, La Piedra stands at a whopping 721 feet tall providing anyone who dares to climb it unbeatable panoramic views over all of Guatape. On one side you will witness the mesmerizing landscape of Guatape, while on the other you see the equally as beautiful lands of Peñol.
