We are a bit of Germany in the heart of Texas! The Beethoven Maennerchor’s purpose is to preserve German song, music, and language. It is the one of the oldest German singing societies in Texas. Located in beautiful downtown San Antonio, in the Historic King William District, the Beethoven Maennerchor has stood as a beacon of culture and heritage since its founding in February of 1867. Beethoven Maennerchor hosts a variety of events throughout the year! Our most popular include Fiesta, Oktoberfest, First Friday each first Friday of the month, and Gartenfests, which are held every third Friday of the month from April until September. Oom Pah Pah!

This is an old school German beer garden with only German beers on tap and a quaint, quiet scene. Think card games and conversations at the bar.

Another historic German lodge turned beer hall! Friendly members will greet you, and their German food is authentic. Very laid back.

One of our favorite spots. A German singing-society beer garden/club that is open to the public as a friendly neighborhood bar. They have live music and food on First Fridays.
