CSNP is 130 acres and offers miles of tranquil walking paths along the bayou and hiking trails through the woods. Boardwalks allow an up close viewing of nature and also a large playground for kids.

Within its 130-acre bounds, Camp Salmen Nature Park in Slidell offers visitors an outdoor observatory rich in natural flora, fauna and birding habitats, as well as a glimpse into its rich history—even legend. Live outdoor concerts qre held year round in the 5,000 sq ft pavillion. Camp Salmen is open to the public Friday through Sunday, year-round.
