Just a couple of minutes walk from my flat is Inverleith Park. It's dog friendly and great for children too. There is a children's play area and also large pond with ducks and swans.

An oasis of green in the heart of Edinburgh, 5 minutes walk from the flat. At 54 acres, it is one of Scotland's largest urban parks. There is a boating pond on the south side of the Park incorporating an attractive wetlands water garden. Stunning views of the city skyline and Pentland Hills can be seen from above the pond. The park also features a children's play park, four tennis courts, a ball court for basketball and football, a petanque court and a running and fitness circuit.

Is not only big enough to take a while to walk round but it has a children’s play park, tennis courts and a running track round the edge with fitness “obstacles” and the pond is home to lots of ducks and swans.
