A longer, more difficult hike but a beautiful view the entire time!

This is very near the peak of the famous Superstition Mountains, and has quite a view over the whole valley. But the trail to get there is quite strenuous. You absolutely need all day: start at Lost Dutchman Park at dawn, take plenty of water, a compact lunch and a couple of granola bars. You don't need ropes, but very near the top there is a place where you might think that you do. Other hikers might help you find the right footholds to get up and down. And don't try this when the weather is too hot, or when it has recently been raining too much.
