I happen to love little community Latin markets. Chicharrón, empeñadas, fresh baked goods, fruits you’ve never heard of. The list is long. It’s like traveling Guatemala without the volcanoes. Having said that. Tapatía is a cut above. It’s hip. It’s busy. It feels like it is in a big city. It’s a great place to grab some tasty vittles

Latin American supermarket that carries foods like yucca, papayas, chayotes, avocados and a variety of hot peppers. Latin American and Caribbean freshly baked goods and Mexican take-out on site.

This unassuming hole-in-the-wall Latin market right down the street from the townhouse is home to one of the best burritos around. Their lightly battered fried shrimp is another favorite of mine. Great "takeout" spot for authentic latin food, e.g., barbacoa and carnitas.
