A larger, newer grocery chain in town. Impressive selection of vegan and vegetarian alternatives. The price range is in the middle between Food Lion (low end) and Harris Teeter (high end).

New Public Grocery Store in Kill Devil Hills next to Lowes offers a nice selection and in known for it bakery and deli.

When we first moved here we went to Publix first. Ms. Rhonda in the deli meats department made us incredibly welcome. And she is a great sales person. Ask for a sample of any of their meats or cheeses! Everyone is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for, or to help you learn how to makes something. They have food cooking classes right in the store ( check the website for times and dates ).
