Some of the most beautiful hiking scenery in the US. Most trails are not beginner level. Some require participation in an annual lottery for a permit to hike/camp. Most hiking in the Enchantments require good physical conditioning and confidence with steep terrain, carrying supplies and equipment. No campfires allowed.

Some of the most incredible scenery and views in the entire Cascade range. The Enchantments is part of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area, and access is limited. Reserve your permit in advance with the National Park Service online or through the Ranger Station in Leavenworth. Sometimes mid-week permits are available if you show up there in person and are ready to go that day. Experienced, over-night hikers only.
