The Classic Telluride hike - fun for the whole family! This trail also accesses some longer hikes up the Wasatch trail - take this all the way into Bridal Veil basin for a full-day adventure! Bear Creek Falls is a beautiful waterfall just outside Telluride. The hike to the waterfall is about 5 miles round trip and moderate, following an old gravel road upstream to the falls. The trailhead is at the end of Pine street at the southeast corner of town - the River Trail will take you right to the trailhead! The views along the trail through the valley are just beautiful and lots of wildflowers. Near the end, Wasatch Trail splits to the right. There's a small waterfall here, but the main waterfall is another quarter mile further. This is a really scenic waterfall and definitely worth the moderate hike to visit.
